Ingredients:
3 Tbsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Castile Soap
1 tsp Hydrogen Peroxide
1 1/2 tsp Honey
15 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
1/2 tsp Coconut Oil
Thank you to Little Seed Farm for providing me with a base for this recipe. Otherwise I would have had no clue where to start!
**VERY IMPORTANT!!! Let the cap off the container for about 20-30 minutes before closing it up to allow any gas to escape from the hydrogen peroxide. She clear explains this over at Little Seed Farm and describes how it exploded all over her bathroom mirror. I REALLY wish I would learn to not just skim read through things....I completely missed that part and ended up with toothpaste all over my face and the window behind me....LOL (Yeah it was definitely a funny moment!).
**PLEASE NOTE: After further looking into this recipe and being given what I believe to be good advice, I would NOT recommend this for daily use. Please see the comments below to explain why. I think this would be a wonderful once a week option to help keep your teeth whitened and clean but may be too harsh for daily use.
Add your baking soda...
Then the castile soap....
Next the peroxide...
Peppermint....
Honey....(yeah I didn't have any Stevia on hand).
Coconut Oil....
Mix ingredients together until smooth...
Use an empty bottle....
I had a syringe on hand which helped with getting it in the bottle.
There you have it!! :-)
