Hot Dog - Broccoli Mac n Cheese

Hot Dog - Broccoli Mac n Cheese

Ingredients:
Box of Mac n Cheese
Milk
Butter/Margarine
12oz package of Broccoli Florets
1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 Slices of American Cheese
1 Pack of Hot Dog, chopped

Make the Mac n Cheese according to the package instructions, add a little extra milk to make it a bit more saucy.

Then break each slice of American cheese into four pieces and lay it across the top of the Mac n Cheese. Microwave for about a minute and then stir until the cheese is dissolved. (This is where it's crucial to remember to add the extra milk)

I like to use Borden sliced American singles. They melt better than the store brand.

Next you want to chop your hot dogs and add them in. I use Oscar Meyer Turkey dogs. There's no Nitrates or Nitrites (which I try to avoid when I can) and the Turkey dogs are lower in fat but taste pretty much the same. Love them!

Next steam and add in the broccoli florets. I LOVE Birds Eye Steamfresh broccoli. It's worth the price in my opinion and I've become quite spoiled using this. :-) I love broccoli. :-)

Then just mixed everything together and serve with shredded cheddar cheese sprinkled over the top. My kids loved this! I'm sure Kielbasa would be great with this too.
